I bought a Tag Heuer Grand Carrera Calibre 6RS in July of 2009. In April of 2010 it started to lose time and finally stop. I brought the watch to Tourneau who sent it to Tag. Tag refused to honor the warranty stating the watch was subjected to blunt trauma. The exterior watch has no evidence of the trauma. I have no recollection of any trauma to the watch or even dropping it. I have a 30 year old Rolex Oyster and have used it the same fashion as the TAG for thirty years.
