Santander purchased my loan (and the entire book of business) from HSBC Auto Finance in March of 2010. In the first month, during the transition from HSBC to Santander, the payment I made via Online Billpay was credited to some other account. They contacted me that month saying I was over 30 days late and that they would report it on my credit, I faxed them a copy of the cashed check and follwed up with them the next day, I was told that during the transition it would be at least 3 weeks before anyone would have the time to look into it.
