I submitted an separate payment for $5000 additional principal from a monthly statement form I received. I have automatic payments on my mortgage loan taken monthly direct from my bank. At month end, my bank statement showed no monthly loan payment was taken out. I called to ask why, they indicated they had take the $5000 and applied it to may and june loan payments and the balance was put towards an additional principal payment instead of the whole $5000.
