I canceled my Direct TV account in September of 2009 after I lost my house, and I informed Direct TV I wouldn't be continuing with their service because the owner of the apartment building I moved to won't allow any dishes. Ten months later I recieved an e-mail stating my account was pass due and to make a payment to avoid interruption.
