It completely makes me sick to know that in the year 2010, our community is trying to make this a race issue when the real issue at hand is the education of the students in Huntsville. As an educator, I find it hard to understand the cutbacks of supplies and personal development funds, but we can provide an 800 dollar a month car allowance for the superintendent. As a tax paying citizen I do not have a problem with providing those perks to whomever the superintendent is AFTER the fact of the personal interests of students are taken care of.
