I signed up with Direct TV in October 2009. I was told there was no contract and no cancellation fee and I could cancel at any time. I have had nothing but problems with Direct TV from service to operational issues. Their employees are rude and could care less because they know they have you over a barrel. I called to cancel and was informed there would be a $320 cancellation fee because I was under a 12 month agreement.
