I deposited a check to my account 2/2/09; it cleared 2/3/09. Then bank of america said the check had a stop payment placed on it 2/5/09 and withdrew the money from my account. 2/9/09 the issuer verified the check cleared with a bank of america representative over the phone; but bank of america would not restore the funds to my account without a copy of the check; needless to say this will probably take 7 to 10 business days. in the meantime my checking account is overdrawn; and bank of america has still not admitted to their error. read full review »
