On June 12, 2010, after filling our car with gasoline, the pump shut-off valve failed to work. Gallons of gasoline spilled out of the nozzle while we desperately tried to get the valve unstuck. There was gas all over the ground and the car, and gas had splashed on our clothes and shoes. The attendant at least spread an absorbent material on the ground, but never bagged the nozzle nor placed an out of order sign on the pump.
