June 17, 2010 The prospect of Russians or anyone using atomic bombs to shut down the flow of crude oil is frightening if the high heat of a thermonuclear occurs near the big pool of crude oil an enormous explosion followed by immense fire is a likely to occur. What ever success anyone may have had in the past does not preclude a disaster this time. Such high volume leaks must have happened in the past with considerable damage to the environment, but the atomic bomb near the oil pool under ground could cause such high pressures with releases of smoke and gases that the "Nuclear Winter" could be brought on.
