I wanted to rent a two bedroom apartment from the management company. They had advertised a price of $1150/month with a 6 month lease. After they saw that I was interested, they asked me to take a second look at the place, however, this time, the rent had misteriously gone up to $1195/month 6 mo lease. Even though there was fishy business, I decided that it was still a good deal and I wanted to take it. Then the lease all of a sudden had to be 13mo.
