Our unit is less than 2 years old and I've already spent hundreds repairing it. Sure, parts are under warranty, but the labor isn't. The cheap capacitor they use is only warrantied for 1 year, imagine that. The labor charge to replace the fan motor is $300. If you have a choice, pick anyone but Rheem. I've had Carrier units that are 10 years old that never have had a problem. Trust me, don't buy Rheem. The unit was chosen by the builder, so unfortunately consumers don't often have a choice with the A/C brands that are chosen. read full review »
