My father has had an account with Wachovia (plus the many former names they've been under) for well over 30 years. He recently opened a checking account with them but his social security gets direct deposited into his savings. He usually doesn't keep any money in his checking account unless he has a bill to pay. Long story short, 2 companies presented "checks" to his account totaling about $450.
