I have had a little giant sump pump from franklin electric, installed at my poolside cabana. This was needed because my septic system is uphill from the cabana. The cabana was not heavily used, thus the sump pump was not heavily used. It began to trip my gfi circuit early in it's life, the first week. Not sure what was going, we just re-set the gfi and hoped it was something that would clear itself.
