We purchased the 18" by 48" pool from Samsclub ($449.00) last year and the pool started out with no problems. Then the pump started overheating and we could only run it for 8 hours per day. We had it covered from direct sunlight also. This year we found that the impeller was loosing its fins. My husband glued them back on and the pump worked for 3 weeks. Now he has cut off all of the fins and made new fins from plastic toilet shims.
