In 2008 I rented a safe deposit box with WAMU on the basis that it was paid annually with an automatic deduction from my checking account of $50. Then, in 2009 I decided to cancel the safe deposit box with now Chase Manhattan Bank. I went into the branch approximately 1 1/2 mos. before the deduction was to occur and cancelled the rental of the safe deposit box.
