We booked an air ticket on line for a family member to come down for our wedding. The ticket was issued and we sent the itinerary to her. However, upon check-in, she was told that the credit card we used was declined and she had to pay the fare there. How then can the ticket be issued if payment fails? Why were we not informed VIA EMAIL, after all, the itinerary was emailed to us 5 minutes after the booking was made.
