I have a bedroom suite that is rarely used and horribly scratched from casual use. The technician from Haverty's explained that any use of the furniture will result in scratches because of the lacquer finish that the manufacturer uses. Apparently, the finish is fragile and scratches at being touched. What's the point of having furniture if you cannot use it unless you live in a display case?
