I own a Mercury Grand Marquis. CNN ran an article about rear end collisions (over 60mph) resulting in fires and ultimately deaths by fire. They stated all police cars in this series have been fitted with gas tank protection kits for this reason. My husband and I have called, Emailed repeately over a six week period to find out where we can purchase this kit to no avail.
