I bought a 2000 taurus and paid my loan off with Ford Motor Credit in 2004. I traded my car on the 14th of June and was told I didn't have a lein release on my car. I called Ford Motor Credit that day and paid for a lein release. The payment cleared my bank on the 16th. I waited for several days to receive it and finally called and they said they didn't get all the information they needed.
