Chennai - Alleppey Express runs between these two locations daily and full to its capacity almost everyday. Still the facilities provided are pathetic with age old compartments, stinking toilets, torn seats etc etc. I travelled by this train on 29th of September from Chennai central to Alwaye. I was in the S2 compartment and got the lower berths 49 & 52. There was a small stand like thing where you can keep your belongings or probably meant to have your food just below the windows.
