Re: Maytag dishwasher model #DWU9906BAE. My door springs just popped off and now the door falls to the floor. I figured out how to fix it (it's a newer model) and was able to find the springs that had dropped to the floor. They are in perfect condition. The problem is the little plastic "links", which attach the springs to the hinges. They both broke and Maytag charges $4.75 per 1" "piece of plastic + $6.99 shipping. When I said that was robbery they gave me the number of a dealer close by. I called for the part and they charge $6.99/piece. What a scam! I'm going to try to make my own link! read full review »
