My wife had been getting her prescription for namebrand Fosamax filled through CVS pharmacy for over a year, then starting in 2010, Medco changed the rules, and now, she has a choice between paying a $30 co-pay for the generic form or $60+ to continue with the namebrand Fosamax. The sad fact here is that the generic form causes her to have severe stomach pain (gastritis) which has been substantiated by her doctor, however, Medco insists that she pay the higher co-pay because the generic form is available.
