I am a disabled veteran who was hired by the VA this past year and was given a start date of February 1st. I put in my two weeks notice at my old job and a week prior to my start date I was told the job would be delayed. My employer had already hired my replacement and I was out of a job. I patiently waited for six months until I received a letter that the position I was hired for was cancelled. When I asked them if they hired someone else in my place I was ignored on multiple occasions. It has been almost a year and I have exhausted a large amount of my savings to pay my mortgage and bills.
