Our account was set up with a manager so that there was not a $500 cushion and if our account would fall below $0 the debits and checks were to not be paid. Before we did this we would get hit with fees as my husband would not always notify me of his transactions and would cause the account to be overdrafted --- so I had it stopped. Now, my husband wrote out a check to someone for $500 without telling me. Well that person went directly to the institution to withdraw that money.
