The LG front loading washer (WM1814CW) we purchased and installed new January 2006 developed a problem last week. I had the recommended service company come out to check the machine. As it turns out the wash drum broke loose and would cost around $600.00 to repair. This really ticked me off given that the unit was just over 4 years old. Goes to show that although LG may make good TV displays, their washers aren't worth crap!!! I asked the service technician for a recommendation. He said stay away from LG and go with Whirlpool.
