Primerica currently promotes the use of a "policy assignment" as a security or collateral for loans by sending out the appropriate paperwork, but then denies the accessibility of such service. The term life insurance policy is only beneficial if someone dies within 3 years of having the policy; after that it is worthless and should be called "death insurance" .
