I found myself recently in the unfortunate position of having to solicit a payday loan. This was a very bad idea for more that one reason. The first is that the intrest charged should be illegal. The second is that as a result of surfing online for these companies, my bank information was compromised. A company called Select Platinum Services submitted an electronic check to my bank for 49.99. It had my name, address, and email address printed on the check.
