I have had a mortgage with GMAC for 8 years. I have never missed or been late with my monthly payments. I am recently divorced and the house was signed over to me. I contacted GMAC 2 weeks ago to negotiate a lower interest rate. While talking to the GMAC representative I became aware of a lien on my property which caused my credit score to drop.
