I was current on my mortgage and like many in this economy saw some trouble on the horizon. I called Citimortgage attempting to defer one payment or something like that. They told me of a wonderful homeowner assistance program that consisted of making 80% of your regular payment for 4 months then a balloon payment for the difference at the end. They also told me that since i was paying 80% it would not be reported as delinquent on my credit report.
