In a nutshell, we came to a loan modification agreement with Wells Fargo and agreed to have them automatically draft the first payment of our agreement on a specific date. During this time, we talked to a different customer service rep and they put us on a different loan mod program. However, Wells Fargo never deleted or voided the initial agreement, so we were charged for TWO mortgage payments in one day.
