Does a bank have the right to take money out of a checking acoount to cover a loan payment that isn't 30 days late. Without my permission. My check was deposited in the bank via direct deposit because employers don't write checks anymore. I had a second checking account set up to have the payment automatically withdrawn. Like I said I was maybe 24-25 days late on the payment. I called the bank the day the loan was due and told them that I was unable to make the payment, but I would make it soon as I could.
