I received a letter from Penn Credit stating that I owed $500 from an emergency room visit. The problem was I had never been to the hospital listed on the letter (or even in that city for that matter). It turned out that the person who had visited the hospital did not provide a Social Security number and provided an address different than mine. The person was of no relation to me.
