I have been a Directv customer for 12 years, (a loyal customer) according to DT. Last week I purchased a receiver from a private seller, before I purchased it I called DT and gave them the receiver number and access card number to verify the receiver was owned, it was verified as owned. Then when I activated the receiver I was told on the phone that the receiver was leased and I would have to pay a lease fee and commit to a 2 year contract, then return the receiver to DT after that. This is a receiver I bought used how can they virtually steal this receiver from me and charge me for having it every month. read full review »
