I am writing this complaint because I find the lack of ownership that consumers take to be really disappointing. Businesses can make mistakes but I do not believe "the customer is always" right. A customer should always be treated with respect, but I see a trend where the consumer wants it for free, never reads their terms, complains about reps, places blame elsewhere, etc...We live in a great country but the consumers have equal blame as the politicians and banks for where the economy is. Yesterday I found a slip that my package needed to be signed for (T-Mobile got smart; instead of leaving at the door and having the phone 'stolen', they require a signature). Since I knew I wouldn't be home at the 're-deliver' time on the slip, I called and they said they would pull it, so I could pick it up. I was on line today to pick up the package. I peruse the boards and I see ALOT of bank complaints. Not saying that banks never make errors and sometimes reps can be rude (let's not even get into this HAMP issue) BUT... Why is it a recurring theme that people complain about overdraft fees? Example:" I made my deposit at 5 PM but my checks came in at midnight...they are wrong!" Wah Wah... I have seen many posters try to re-explain cut-off time to the complaintiff. Afterall, if the check came in at midnight, it was written before the deposit. I just got done trying to have a conversation on the boards with a disgruntled customer of a bank. I am a customer of the same bank he complained about and my cousin works for them. I have had normal experiences; some bad, most good. Some of the bad ones were based on my own mistakes. But I know how to react like an adult. But this customer acts like a customer never makes a mistake (nsf or od).
