The LIRR has a stated schedule for rush hour train service. For those of us who work in the city and live on the island, we must depend on them for some sort of stable service. In the past few months, they have made a regular practice of cancelling the 5:19 train to Wantagh. The announcer assures us the we will be "Accommodated" by the 5:24 local.
