I just established service with FPL and was told that I had to pay a deposit of $184.00 up front because of the area that I lived in coupled with the fact that Equifax wasn't showing any credit history. I was then told that I had if I was late as a result of the astronomical deposit I would then be charged additional "deposit" on top of any late fees. Highway robbery!
