We went to SmileCare for a consultation for my son's braces. The first thing they did was to coat his teeth with a protective finish which they said they already had approval from our insurance company. I didn't like the way they handled their business so we went to another orthodontist. 6 months later we started getting bills from smile care for over $300 for unpaid bills (teeth coatings) which the insurance company had not authorized.
