I was paying my auto payment and sometimes late. I requested a payoff and was surprised as to the amount. I pulled an account history and found out they were adding insurance premiums to my balance which increased my payoff. There were times I did not have insurance and I was paying to the insurance company a separate amount for it and also paying my loan.
