I am an attorney and have made aware of the scam that's being carried out by Great American Readers (and/or Blue Whale Publications, which appear to be one in the same). Recently, I helped a client get completely out of the alleged "contract" she had with GAR (which doesn't seem to be enforceable anyway), and the company stopped attempting to collect on her debt altogether.
