My wife asked me for a christmas list. I asked her for a Nikon D700 and a number of lenses. It was a dream list and shes not at all tecnology oriented. She went to Ritz Camera in burlington Vt in Dec 08 and told the sales girl what she wanted. The sales girl told her they didnt sell alot of D700 due to problems and the D300 was what I should have( they didnt have any d700 in stock).
