I tried using my Emerge card a few days ago and it was rejected. I had just paid it in full as I do every month. When I arrived home, I called and talked to someone, not in the U.S. for sure; leave it at that, and they kept reading from their script every time I would ask a question. "Due to the economic condtions...etc." Basically they went out of business, I asked? Same script. I have had this card for years and years as it has changed hands 3 times until Emerge picked it up.
