My HSBC contract was sold to Santander without my knowledge. Then they notified me that I was a month behind and they would offer me a refinanced loan at a lower interest rate. They told me to fax the signed contract and send $800.00. I did what they asked 6/29/2010 and they didn't apply my money to the old contract or the refinanced contract. I called them in July and they claimed that I hadn't given them any money at all. They said I owed them $1470 now.
