We had guests coming into town to stay with us. Both my wife and I became ill and, not wanting them to catch our bug, decided to put them up in a motel at our expense. The morning they were to arrive, I called Hampton Inn and made a reservation for that night for them using my credit card. As soon as the reservation was made, they told me that either the guest would actually have to pay with their own card, or I would have to physically come in to the motel and pay, or I would have to send them a fax.
