I had a paypal account. I will give the short version of the story. I requested a debit card from them for my account ( so I can have direct access to MY money instead of waiting 3-5 days for it to transfer to my bank account). I never heard anything, then one day I got an email from them saying my account had been restricted until I provided them with..and followed a long list of very personal info including my SSN none of which were optional, I give them what they want or I cant use their service.
