I have had a poor signal for weeks so I approached T-mobile. In the first week, customer services told me a transmitter was down and would be back up in 24 hours. When I spoke to the engineer, he told me there were no transmitter problems in the area. However, he did upgrade me to be able to get Orange cover as well as T-mobile cover.
