I had a variable rate Loan with Fremont Investment for 165K . I was approved for a fixed rate loan only to find out at the closing table that it was a variable rate! Pressured by our overdue construction loan we signed papers thinking we could refi in two years. Instead Fremont promised us a loan mod, tacked 40K onto our loan and sold our loan to Litton Loan Servicing before closing their doors.
