Moved into an apartment temporarily. Using the oven for the 1st time, I was in the kitchen and noticed sparks. Quickly it escalated into a very bright white flame and a fire. I turned off the oven, but it somehow remained on! I could see that the heating element was on fire and driping something to the base of the oven. We couldn't unplug it because it was so hot that my husband had to turn off the circuit breaker to get the oven to shut off.
