Smelled hot plastic, and checked crockpot. Plastic was dripping from the bottom. checked to find a line melting in the plastic base. Opened up unit to find the element had fallen down on the plastic bottom and was melting it. There is only one clip holding the element wraps up on the side of the chassis and only one wrap was going through it. Apparently the other one was never under the clip as it gets no rough handling. read full review »
