Bought a LG420 cell phone to replace one I lost. There were problems with the phone so I returned it and bought a different brand phone. New store policy is they don't do phone activations anymore but in the return process they deactivate the phone your returning. By doing this, you can't transfer your phone number or more importantly, your airtime minutes!
