In 2003 I purchased a diamond engagement ring that was set in yellow gold. In 2005 I paid an additional $200 to have that same ring set in WHITE GOLD (a white gold shank). From the moment I picked up the ring from the store I noticed it had a yellow spot on it. On several occasions I have gone back into the store as the ring has progressively turned back completely to the original yellow gold.
